The past couple film biopics that have been receiving much attention just because they are based on the life of beloved music artists (except for “Walk the Line,” which was the only film that I’ve seen where Reese Witherspoon was worth something) all seemed to be lacking something -- originality. They were almost all of the same things: artist was once a nobody, they decide they love music, they started playing in front of people that didn’t like them but all the sudden they are liked; then they take drugs, their lives suck, and they want to make a comeback. New 'Ghostbusters' Videogame Franchise
Looks like the next Ghostbusters project will be in the form of a videogame!
Vivendi Games and Sony Pictures are working on creating a Ghostbusters videogame franchise, the first game of which will be released by Vivendi's Sierra label in Fall of 2008, according to Variety.
Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray, and Harold Ramis, who starred in the two Ghostbusters films in 1984 and 1989 respectively, will give their voice and likeness rights for the game. Aykroyd and Ramis will also write a story for the game which will take place in the early 1990s, post-Ghostbusters II, in what will be a new ghoul invasion of New York City...continue reading this article at Geeks of Doom!
