Nimoy Reveals Three Spocks in 'Trek XI'
Trek Movie Report points us to two video clips from CBS 2 News's exclusive video interview with Leonard Nimoy, who reveals that there will be three Spocks in J.J. Abrams's Star Trek XI.
In a 15-minute Web exclusive video segment, which goes inside Nimoy's home and highlights his photography exhibit, Nimoy shows off a pair of Spock ears from 1968. Winona Ryder is Spock's Mom in 'Trek XI'
Winona Ryder has joined the cast of JJ Abrams's Star Trek XI, according to Variety.
Ryder will play Amanda Grayson, Spock's human mother in the Star Trek prequel, which hits theaters Christmas Day 2008. The young version of the half-human/half-Vulcan Spock will be played by Heroes star Zachary Quinto, while Leonard Nimoy will also appear as an older Spock, reprising his role from the classic TV show and feature films...continue reading this article at Geeks of Doom!

I think this is the best Star Trek XI casting news so far ...
Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz) will play Scotty in the planned Star Trek prequel, according to Variety. The role of Montgomery "Scotty" Scott was originally played by the late James Doohan.
