Why William Shatner Won't Be In 'Star Trek XI'

William ShatnerSince hearing the news of a Star Trek prequel movie, fans have been asking if William Shatner, who played Captain James T. Kirk in the original TV series as well as in seven motion pictures, would somehow be involved in the J.J. Abrams movie. 'Cloverfield' Mythos Explored: Monsters + Marketing = Millions

WARNING -- SPOILERS AHEAD: This article contains background information and plot details on the film CLOVERFIELD and its viral marketing campaign, and recklessly indulges in spoilers and speculation, so beware.

Cloverfield movie posterParamount's Cloverfield broke the box office record for best January opening ever, earning an estimated $46 million this holiday weekend. Not so shocking since the J.J. Abrams-produced monster flick was probably the most anticipated film to be released in a month known for its poor box office returns. What is shocking is that special-effects-filled film was made for a mere $25 million, though, that's not counting all the money spent all its well-known viral marketing campaign...continue reading this article at Geeks of Doom!

Nimoy Reveals Three Spocks in 'Trek XI'

Star Trek IXTrek Movie Report points us to two video clips from CBS 2 News's exclusive video interview with Leonard Nimoy, who reveals that there will be three Spocks in J.J. Abrams's Star Trek XI.

In a 15-minute Web exclusive video segment, which goes inside Nimoy's home and highlights his photography exhibit, Nimoy shows off a pair of Spock ears from 1968. Rumor: Tyler Perry Joins 'Star Trek XI'

To my defense, I thought it was a comedy at first, and as as it turned out, we received lots of hits on those posts and positive reader feedback. PEOPLE LIKE PERRY...continue reading this article at Geeks of Doom!
