Not all ideas born of marketing departments are necessarily bad. This week’s release of Battlestar Galactica: Razor is a case in point. According to series creator and executive producer, Ronald D. Moore, the Universal marketing department approached him earlier this year with the idea of filming two standalone episodes that would be televised before the beginning of the final season, then immediately released on DVD, and simultaneously marketed overseas. Moore and his co-executive producer, David Eick, thought this was an intriguing idea, and asked the show's writers to take a whack at it. Over the years, Johnny Depp and I have enjoyed a healthy, long-term, committed relationship. And by 'healthy', 'long term,' and 'committed', I of course mean 'unhealthy', 'obsessive,' and 'stalkee-stalker' respectively. My admiration for the man goes beyond the realms of sanity.
Currently, his movies occupy the 4th, 9th, 13th, and 25th positions on my Top 50 List. His creative processes, personal philosophies, and overall outlook have all been a source of inspiration to me personally.

TV Review: Damages
Glenn Close plays Patty Hewes, a remarkably successful civil litigation attorney. She is particular about everything in her law firm -- everything. She especially controls the people who work for her, even beyond the scope of their jobs. She never blinks early and has a legendary bull-o-meter. Rose Byrne is Ellen Parsons, Patty’s newest associate. She is just out of law school but she’s no rube. Ellen is smart, beautiful, and talented. Katie Conner, played by Anastasia Griffith, is Ellen’s older sister. With deep emotional ties to each other, Katie and Ellen’s lives find an unexpected and terrible connection.
