Shia Reveals Fourth 'Indy' Movie Title

The long-awaited fourth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise will be titled Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The title was revealed at tonight's MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas by actor Shia LaBeouf, who stars in the upcoming film along with Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Karen Allen, and Jim Broadbent.

Film Maniac's Fall 2007 Film Picks

Ah, it’s that time of year again. Every year, there is that one season where things start to look up. This time of year is all about the awards. Voters for the Academy, Golden Globes, and MTV will be looking at all of these films that are released this year, and they will keep the films released around this time in mind.

Will this year be better than last year? Last year, we had Scorsese, Nolan, Cuaron, del Toro, Frears, Condon, Eastwood, Inarritu, Almodovar, Gibson, Zwick, Soderbergh, Field, and De Palma. This year, our line-up includes Taymor, Cronenberg, Lee, PTA, the Coen brothers, Baumbach, Scott, Farrelly brothers, Haggis, Mangold, Jordan, Penn, Anderson, and Forster. You decide which year is better.

But I’m looking forward to a few particular films. Whether it has Jack Black in it, or an Ian Curtis lookalike, they are all going to be checked out in theaters if they are playing near me. If not, they will be on DVD. This is Part I of my two-part series "The Rest of 2007 Movies -- The Good, The Bad, and the Very F**king Ugly." Johnny To's 'Exiled' Gets U.S. Release

Magnolia Pictures just sent us a bunch of production photos from their Johnny To-directed flick Exiled, starring Anthony Wong (Infernal Affairs) and Francis Ng (Infernal Affairs 2). The 2006 Hong Kong action hit is being treated to a U.S. release on August 31, 2007.

In Exiled, Wong and Ng reunite on-screen for the first time since 1999's The Mission, under Mission director Johnnie To. 'Death Sentence' Trailer, Images, Clips

Fox has sent us production stills from their upcoming Death Sentence, starring Kevin Bacon and Kelly Preston, which opens in theaters August 31, 2007.

In the film, directed by James Wan (Saw), Bacon plays Nick Hume, a mild-mannered executive with a perfect life, until one gruesome night he witnesses something that changes him forever. Transformed by grief, Hume eventually comes to the disturbing conclusion that no length is too great when protecting his family.

I hope everyone had as awesome a Saturday as we did. Four hours of 80s metal cover bands at B.B. Kings, a GoD meet-up with super contributor Movies at Midnight, a kwik stop-over at NYC's Simpson-ofied Kwik-E-Mart, followed by aimless wandering in search of a nice place for our Doom crew to chill out and debrief.
