The Doom Digest! Issue #01
Howdy Lovers of Geekiness and Doom,
Welcome to the first edition of what we've decided to call the "Doom Digest!"
We've been doing our best to keep you guys & gals up to date on all the goings-on at Geeks of Doom by posting snippets of each of our stories as they are published, but to be honest, we've begun to publish so many additional stories every day/week that it's become nigh impossible to keep up with the syndication of each and every one of them.
So in an effort to keep you all in our loop, as well as to lighten the load on both our end and yours, we'll be putting together this handy-dandy little digest of everything GEEK/DOOM a few times a week so that you'll not be missing out on all that geeky goodness. Now you'll not be bothered by the numerous email notifications when our blogs go live... otherwise the article below would have totaled 15 blog entries, heh.
I hope you all will continue to visit and enjoy Geeks of Doom, and I thank you all for being our friends, subscribers, and fans! I extend to you all my sincerest appreciation for your great comments, messages, and general good nature.
Sincerely,
Dave3 (webmaster--geeksofdoom.com)

DVD Review: Dan in Real Life
Dan in Real Life
Directed by Peter Hedges
Starring Steve Carell, Juliette Binoche, Dane Cook, John Mahoney, Dianne Wiest
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment
Release date: March 11, 2008
One need know me for roughly five minutes before they know full well my attitudes toward Dane Cook. Beyond mere distaste, I have a manic and psychotic hatred of him, sworn in blood and pain, that will no doubt span continents and generations and will cost more than its fair share of lives. I have alienated family members, ended friendships, and even had a girl walk out on me because of my raw and visceral loathing of the man and everything he stands for...continue reading this article at Geeks of Doom!

Release date: January 15, 2008
Imagine a rock band that changes members each time it begins achieving commercial and critical success.
Imagine a rock band guided by a visionary singer -- who can't actually articulate his vision to the other band members.
Imagine a rock band known as much for its logo and album cover designs as for its music.
Does this sound like a sequel to This is Spinal Tap? The basis of a new Will Ferrell movie? A Saturday Night Live skit that ends with Christopher Walken insisting on more cowbell?...continue reading this review at Geeks of Doom!

So imagine this: You fall from the sky smack down in the middle of an ocean, that's how it starts. You're then rescued by a girl, looks more or less your age, fair hair, has the whole survivor look going for her/against her (points of view I guess). There you are, soaked, on a boat with Jane Savage talking gibberish and with no clue where you are or how you got there. That's the plot of Formera...continue reading this review at Geeks of Doom!
