DVD Review: The Black Donnellys - The Complete Series

Take the melodramatic relationships and good looks of Dawson's Creek (don't forget the soft indie rock that plays under everything for additional heartstring pulling), get the entire cast drunk on Jameson's Irish Whisky, give them a thorough pub brawl beating by the members of The Pogues and Flogging Molly, and then dump them in a New York mob neighborhood and you're getting somewhere close to what NBC's single-season show was trying to come across as.

The Donnellys -- Jimmy, Tommy, Kevin, and Sean -- are four brothers who have grown up in a small Irish neighborhood in New York, and now as adults are trying to carve out something resembling a living, and while not trying to kill each other, are standing up to the powerful Italian mob that wants to take over the neighborhood. Jimmy, is the owner of the Firecracker Lounge and as eldest is also leader of the small crimes that perpetual gambler Kevin and baby-brother Sean commit with him. Tommy, on the other hand, has foresworn crime and hopes to make a living as an artist. DVD Review: 'The Office' Season 3

If you've already watched the entire season 3 of The Office on television, you might think there's no reason for you to get this DVD.

But you'd be wrong.

Aside from the fact that all 22 episodes are still hilarious on the second, third, and fourth viewing, this four-disc DVD set is packed with over three hours of deleted scenes. Now, I know what you're thinking: deleted scenes are deleted for a reason -- because they suck. Not so in this case. ALL of the deleted scenes are great and only serve as proof that The Office should be an hour-long show.

Spike 'Murder's Reality TV

Spike TV just turned up the reality television dial about 50 clicks. Their new show Murder takes six real people, divides them into two teams, and tasks them to solve a 'real' murder case in 48 hours, CSI style.

Murder is hosted by Detective Tommy Le Noir, a 27-year Arlington, Texas, decorated law enforcement veteran who garnered his fair share of murder convictions. Each show starts with Le Noir escorting the two teams into an exact replica crime scene pulled from the files of a solved homicide case. These gruesomely recreated crime scenes come complete with the murder victim's corpse, which looks like it came straight from Tom Savini's closet. They're given actual crime scene footage from the closed case, a list of potential suspects, an opportunity to analyze orginal suspect interrogation tapes, and then they get to sit in on a recreated autopsy with a real pathologist who reviews the findings of the original autopsy report with them...continue reading this article at Geeks of Doom!
